If someone from another team had tried that, posters here would be up in arms calling the player a cheater.

No. Zimmerman pointed to the ump and claimed he had caught it cleanly.

What?

Nats are up 7 and the ump calls a DP on a liner to Zim.  End of game.    Hold on, one of the other umps decides he caught it on a skip so they gotta continue on another batter or two.

We're up 18.    Dave Johnson sez the magic number is 17.

 I must admit I was concerned with the Marlins going back to the recent series in DC. Fish had been red hot and Giancarlo was destroying the baseball. National baseball cognizetti were talking about the Marlins making a run for the wildcard.
Now who's your daddy? Back to back three game sweeps. Way to TCB Nats!  :thumbs: :w: :koolaid:

* clapping hands *

very nice game.  quite impressed with this series, with the way things had been, and just to see them play well without firing on all cylinders..

Just another example of how good pitching beats good hitting

We only have to go 10-13 to match last years victory total.

If we go 13-10 we match the 2012 teams victories.

How about 15-8 to get 100 wins?
