Hopefully this means Madson and Kintzler if needed tomorrow with Doolittle not available.

Is that a safety pin on Do's necklace?

It appears so. I'll never understand how every single lefty reliever is not all there.

And there's the thing the Syracuse PBP announcer said about Severino. He doesn't actually catch the ball well.

Well we're up what 17 games?     Dave Johnson sez the magic number is 16.

All the hand wringing over the management of this game for naught. Baker is playing chess. Leroy is playing connect four. :stir:

I've got as many WS rings as the manager and dozens fewer pitchers with ruined arms on my resume.

I'd love to sit down with the manager over a couple of beers and just listen to his old stories.

I don't want him anywhere near a pitching staff for the team I root for. He's so bad at handling pitchers that Max forgot how pillows work and went on the DL for the first time in 9 years and is still on pace to throw around 300 more pitches than anyone else in the regular season. Apparently he can't organize things enough for Stras to drink water/Gatorade between innings. I'll take the decades of evidence that he's not a good strategic manager and is death to good pitchers.

I may have missed the original story but when and where did Dusty get high with Hendrix?

It was that time when Hendrix had to reschedule a couple of concerts because he was dehydrated and also because he slept on the pillow wrong.

True, but one high five and a cannonball chaser of Dusty's 2015 Syrah and Jimi was as good as new.

They range from $20 to $42 per bottle at retail, and can be found at Harry’s Reserve Fine Wines & Spirits, Eye Street Cellars and Calvert Woodley in the District, Oakton Wine Shop and the Wine Cabinet (Reston) in Virginia. In Maryland, they are at Beer Wine & Co. and Georgetown Square Wine and Beer in Bethesda. They are on the lists in the District at BLT Steak, Bourbon Steak, Charlie Palmer Steak and Blue Duck Tavern.
