ah ok gotcha. Gotta say pits kind of scare me a bit, but my dog Bryant definitely has pit in him and you will never find a sweeter, more mellow dog so no clue why I feel that way.
It's the hype.
I've met some aggressive pits but like mitlen said, it was their owners who either encouraged it or they were pushovers and the dog was the leader in the partnership.
My brother's dog is part pit and she is a great dog. I did see the "pit" come out of her one day though when my nephew approached the car and she did not recognize him. When she heard his voice and got a sniff of him though her tail was wagging.
