Tough position to be in.

Md is going to be hard pressed to go .500 this season.  THey had the 16 best recruiting class in the Nation    , which put them 4th in their 7 team division.    :?

Did anyone see the Wolverines lay the beat down of Florida? Defense looks great. Offense, not so much.

I could only look at the unis for a few minutes at a time.

Honestly, they looked better than I thought. I was expecting the worst when I heard “all maize”

Were you afraid of one of those Nike day-glo maizes?

I wonder when the last time there was a game in which each team ran back a blocked field goal for TD, like Texas and Md did to each other.

What a disaster FSU's special teams have been tonight.

Seminole defense, on the other hand, looks really strong. They were put in bad situations tonight by the offense and special teams.

Did you see him trying to point the finger at the WR on the last INT?  :lmao:  That was clearly his fault.

Don't worry about that tonight. Enjoy beating Texas. That's always worth celebrating.

Howard just beat UNLV in Vegas 43-40. It is the largest upset by point spread in college football history. Howard was a 45 point underdog.

Cam Newton’s brother is the Howard QB, BTW.

I guess that gets Baylor off the hook for worse loss of the weekend

Also, based on what I saw to day and looking at that schedule, Maryland should be an 8 win team this year.

The last few years they had their mediocre QB corps devastated by injuries.  Yesterday they lost their starter (still haven't heard the outcome, but it was a knee) and put in a true freshman.  Not sure if they have any depth there at all now.

Yeah, that could be a thing, but that freshman is pretty good, too.

The worst loss of the weekend was ECU losing by 20 at home to JMU.

Well, Madison was favored by 1.5 so beat the spread by 18.5.  Md was an 18 point dog and won by 10, so +28 vs. the spread.

Yeah, but the spread is only tangentially about who will win and more about how to get bets on each side so Vegas doesn't lose its ass, especially early in the season.

UCLA came back from down 44-10 to Texas A&M to win 45-44. Incredible comeback. And I imagine the end for Kevin Sumlin.

Not a good weekend for Texas football teams.

And my alma mater WMU  stayed with #4 ranked USC until 7:00 minutes into the 4th quarter 28-28 only to lose 49-31. To be fair they were ranked # 12 last season while going undefeated during the regular season then losing to # 8 Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl 24-16. They also lost their head coach to Minnesota.
