One of those games it seems a shame someone has to lose for sure.

If anyone is taking a drink every time they say “baker mayfield,” they were dead in the 3rd quarter.

Like "Matt Patricia".  I hope the Bears hire him as the head coach...pretty much assures you'll never hear his name mentioned again...

 are the Bears interviewing him? I know he and McDaniels are both interviewing for the Giants job.

Clemson is lucky to be down only a TD at halftime.

So Rich Rodriguez got canned last night.

Somebody else will hire him.

I was at a party once and they host is a Michigan grad, they had just hired him and he was gleeful.  I told him that from what I saw of him at WVU he was a POS and this guy was not hearing it one bit.   How'd that work out blue?

Your friend was the only Michigan person happy with that hire. The boosters hated him from day one because he didn’t embrace the “Michigan way” of doing things. He only got three years and Hoke took over with his players and did well with his players.

The guy was was a a jerk, but I challenge you to find me one of these guys who isn’t.

Rodriguez just seemed off the charts in the sleaze department, I was surprised that Michigan would risk their reputation on him.  Is that what you meant by "Michigan way", or were you referring to roster construction (i.e. speed vs power)?

It was everything about the guy: style of play, personality, respect for tradition, personal behavior, etc.

That being said, I thought he deserved one more year at the time.

James Madison plays for the national title tomorrow versus North Dakota State @ 12 NOON.  They will be going for their second title in a row and third overall.  Not sure how much tv time they are getting back there but their success is a great story.

I know a kid on the team.  He was rated as the #2 offensive lineman in the state of Maryland 3 years ago.  He transferred from Maryland after 2 years...clearly a smart move...

My next door neighbors are JMU alums...

Cool; there are so many alums in NOVA that there must be some among our readers.  Our son was going to go there but changed his mind at the last minute to go to VT.  I have a niece from NJ who went there.  Good school.

Why do they insist on having country music before sporting events?

I wish they would do away with all the hoopla before games and just get to the freaking kickoff already! >:(

Plus, it's the south bowl. Imagine if New Orleans, Atlanta, Jacksonville and Tennessee all win next weekend. It will be eagleskins' wet dream come true. An all south NFL championship weekend.
