Was Strasburg today the best single game performance in Nats history? Complete game shut out and a couple hits, including a go ahead homer in the fifth of a no score game.

Scherzer has had a couple no hitters and Rendon had that ridiculous game earlier this season, but today was two way dominance.

Since Rendon’s April 30th game was probably one of the 10 best offensive days in the entire HISTORY OF BASEBALL, I’m gonna go with that one.

No, Mrs. Strasburg. There have been several better performances, including no-hitters and 10 RBI games.

Werth's walk off.

Best single at bat, no question. Best overall game performance is Rendon. It’s unclear to me why there is even debate.

Josh Willingham wants to play.

Then there's Max's 20 strikeout game.

I prolly need another drink to help me remember some more.

Ok. You got me. Max’s 20 K game is in the discussion.

JZim's had a couple. RZim's 3 homer game in Baltimore also comes to mind.

This one was so efficient, it's gonna score really high.

Not sure where to look up that game score thing...

How much does hitting a home run add to a pitcher's game score?

The Stras debut game has to be in there, too.

Scherzer's 17k no hitter is the second highest game score in MLB history, trailing only Wood's 20k game.

See above. I listed some notable Nats’ game scores

Game Score 75

But more important in this franchise's history than any of the scherzer games

Game Score 75

I see that in there now. Thanks. For sheer excitement I would put it right up there. It was like a playoff atmosphere and he delivered.

I think that was the first game that I thought that DC baseball had finally arrived. I had never seen that kind of excitement at the park before, and it has only been matched by playoff games. And I was there for the Max's 20K game and the Zimmermann no-hitter.

When Brad Wilkerson hit for the cycle  :hysterical:

Na in reality, I'd put Scherzer's should have been perfect game against the Pirates as #1(and yes because I was there).

Opening Day 2005 was the day baseball arrived in DC.

I would include the first Strasburg start vs Pirates

Personally:

1. Max 17k no-no
2. Max first no-no near perfect (I now would punch Jose Tabata if I ever met him)
3. Werth's walk off
4. Rendon 10 RBI
5. Stras debut
6. Zim 3 Homer game vs Blows
7. Trea for the cycle
8. Murphy vs the Mets (take your pick)
9. Tyler Moore against the Cards in Game 1 2012
10. Jordan Zimmerman pitching in relief throwing 91 mph sliders that were dead nasty

Individual performances, I still get good bumps over that Bernadina catch against the Astros. Also, all those Dunn homers.
