When I’m stuck in Atlanta eclipse traffic and out of gas, I’m going to feel that way.

I think what mitlen is saying is that your mistakes are pretty bland.

:)

Reminds me of a joke  ...  Guy 55 years old goes to the doctor.   Gets a physical.   Doc sez, "You're in really good shape."    Guy sez, "Thanks doc.   Think I'll live to be 90?"    Doc asks, "Have you ever been so high you didn't know how you got home?"   The answer  ...  no.    Doc asks him several more questions along this line ..  did you ever wake up next to a woman who you didn't know  ....  His answer again ... "no".     Finally the doctor sez, "I don't know why you wanna live to be 90."

Watched a few innings of this game over at my parents' house. The Padres are a seriously generic bunch of random geeks.

How close is Gio to vesting his 2018 deal now? Gotta be close.

Needs about 29 more innings after today. He's going to crush that.

Who else thinks it's a bad idea for Gio to still be pitching with 105 pitches coming into the inning?

If it doesn't work out then you can say you called it and that you are a better manager than Baker.

I would have preferred Blanton-Kintzler-Doolittle for 7-8-9 (the other relievers, except Perez, have all worked two days in a row) but whatever. Seems like a lot of pitches for Gio.

If Max misses significant time you could reasonably make a Cy Young case for Gio.

Indeed. I was worried about him coming back out but good for him.

It's worse than Kathmandu or Tijuana, it's Detroit.

With a 13.5 game lead in the East, and three right handed hitters due up, it doesn't make much sense for Baker to run Gio into the ground with 120+ pitches. Blanton should have been in the game.

Another great outing from Gio 2017!
