I miss my old crap Saturn.  Unfortunately we had to start calling it a "Raturn" and give it away after the alley wildlife sent it to the garage for the 13th time.  My taste in motor vehicles skews heavily down-market.

I miss my old crap Saturn.  Unfortunately we had to start calling it a "Raturn" and give it away after the alley wildlife sent it to the garage for the 13th time.  My taste in motor vehicles skews heavily down-market.

My '97 Saturn's out front.    135K miles on her and she runs   ....   most of the time.    Missus and the boy refer to it as the POS car.    I love it.    Stick on the floor, wind down windows, A/C doesn't work, cassette player, etc.    I still have RFK/Nats parking "tickets" in the console.

Special occasions?     Work once a week?     Ride just to let it "breathe"?    Liquor store runs?

Ours was recently decommissioned after ending a long and distinguished career as the conveyance for a niece in Wisconsin.  Old Saturns never die...they just fade away.

The boy went to VCU and said he'd rather walk than drive the Saturn.    I think he was too embarrassed to drive a stick and too lazy to learn.
