We have another legit MVP candidate (Rendon) and a couple fringe ones that might get in the conversation if they have nicely timed hot streaks. Rizzo will work a deal (Daniel Nava anyone?). It will be harder to win without Harper but he's not the only guy who can pick this team up.

This sucks, but it still  feels less doomed than it did when we lost Ramos last year.

Nats were going to need some luck to beat Dodgers with Harper. Whether that’s an injury or a loss in the NLDS or just poor play. Now they just need a bit more luck. It isn’t like if Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant or LeBron James went down.

In baseball in the short sample size of a playoff series anything can happen.  You can't replace Harper over 162, but in a 5 game or 7 game series you can.
