Ryan does know you don't have to swing to protect the runners in a 3-2 count, right?  That was ball four.

Missed it the 1st time....rewound  :hang:

In fairness, that is actually a thing.  In a hit and run, the batter is supposed to make contact with the pitch any way he can whether it's a strike or not, EXCEPT IN A THREE BALL COUNT!!!

This was a 3 ball count...

Great excuse, FP...Zimm K'd because he can't take a 3rd strike looking with a runner on the move...but it's OK to take a 3rd strike otherwise...  :hysterical:

FP would have been a great friend to have in high school to keep you out of trouble with your parents, excuses for everything.

I exactly thought of Eddie Haskell when I was typing that.  FP sounds more sincere somehow though.

FP explains, again, that AJ Cole has found "it". And Bob C. encourages him.

You didn't think it hit him?  Looked like the ball moved his foot to me.

If Worley could pitch only against us, he might win the Cy Young.  I know we don't have our A team going tonight, but the ability we have to be shut down by less than mediocre pitchers is confounding, considering our overall offensive prowess.

Soft tossing AAAA pitchers own the Nats.  That has always been the case.  It will never change.

Should have pinch-hit for Cole. He never goes beyond 2 innings scoreless.

If we can hit Arrieta, Lester, Kershaw, Wood, and the rest of those guys in the playoffs, I don't care if Vance Worley puts up a career ERA of 0 against us for the rest of his career.

Cole is the kind of pitcher that if he was converted to a reliever (and embraced it), he'd excel

Not gettin' shut down so much as shuttin' ourselves down.    Got men on base and diddle it away.
