Four games in, we've achieved post season form.

"Hello, Zurich?  I'd like to take out another mortgage on my castle.  Why?  To see hockey in a rickety old shiyte stadium in Annapolis.  What do you mean I'm declined??"

I wouldn't mind going, but I understand there is virtually no parking...

Let's just say there's at least twice as much parking at the Annapolis Mall.

I went to a football game there about 10 years ago. Parked at a lot at the exit before and they shuttled is to the game.

It's almost like this team needs a young, talented, experienced defenseman.

But hey, top notch backup goaltender though.

Not really GMBM's fault that Mcphee chose Schmidt over Grubauer. It was always a close call, though there were signs leading up to the deadline that Schmidt was the guy they wanted.

That said, GMBM should have left Wilson exposed to keep Schmidt, or something. I don't know.

We're supposed to have a bunch of good/decent defensemen prospects, good thing we're rolling with Chorney and Ness!

We could have protected Schmidt, no?

It was either Schmidt or Wilson/Eller, I think. Or we could have left Carlson unprotected, but that was always very unlikely.

Carlson plays against the top lines. And on PK. Schmidt did not. We will see if Schmidt can take the jump up to a top group defense this year. The way people react here you would think the guy has been a perennial all star.

You know about these contractual things...can everyone go play in the Olympics if the team just commits suicide?  It would be far more interesting to watch these guys at 3 a.m. next February.

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose...Capitals just can't compete after long (in this case four-day) layoffs.

Looks that way. No depth.  Burakovsky and Niskanen out has hurt them.  Did Backstrom miss the game also? The only good thing is that the young guys will learn to sink or swim.  At least Saturday night we get to watch McDavid.  BTW, Edmonton's record is even worse than the Caps.  But of course it's early!

Missed the game. How did that happen? Edmonton is off to a bad start.

Ovechkin starting 'social movement' in support of Putin: http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/capitals-insider/wp/2017/11/02/alex-ovechkin-announces-creation-of-social-movement-supporting-russian-president-vladimir-putin/?hpid=hp_local-news_ovechkin-750pm%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.385a9512bfb4

Read the comments section - he is getting absolutely fried there.
he's behind the times.  We were running that sort of movement here from 2012 to 2017.
