Nats crapping the bed on national tv. So what else is new. Gets us ready for the playoffs.

National TV must be a DC thing.

Alex Meyer. A couple awesome years of Denard Span. Good trade.

Escobar, Revere, Meyer, Espinosa... Every Nat who couldn't cut it ends up in LA.

I complain about MASN on occasion but it's my Nats' go to network.    ESPN and FOX make me break out.

Yeah...that .300+ BA we got out of Escobar wouldn't cut it most anywhere...better to have another turd bullpen arm...

I was about to point out Yunel was pretty good for us but didn't feel like having really weird sounding stats thrown at me for the next ten minutes  :tomatoes:

Some freaking idiot here (forgot which one) said that if Escobar wasn't getting on base he was grounding into double plays and the same moron said that Escobar is good for grounding into a double play at least one time per game. The leaders in GIDP do it on average about once per week.

If Alex Meyer no hits us, it will feel like a cruel irony given our starting depth at the moment.

Yunel Escobar had a a .790 OPS and was at best average defensively and on bases.

Nats didn't get enough for him in trade but let's not act like he was an all star. I enjoyed watching him but he was not some offensive force. He'd be seventh or eighth best hitter in  a healthy Nats lineup.

He's also the reason Max Scherzer didn't pitch a perfect game against the Mets.

All true. But he can really twirl a bat.

The Nats are due to throw a curly number on the board one of these innings against the first round flame out of a pitcher.
