I thought it'd be one of the usual suspects.   I wanted to get it started before we all nodded off.   If you want it, I'll give it up.

Nah, you go ahead.  I'm exhausted and may not make it to the opening pitch.

Reminiscing before the start of the game:

"Now, the people who stay up to catch these games against Mike Trout and the Angels, they remember the summer of ’05 and baseball’s rebirth here. They remember the 100-loss seasons, the first division title in 2012, Game 5 against the Cardinals, and on and on. They wonder if Matt Williams should have left Zimmermann in Game 2 in 2014. They remember Bobby Henley sending Jayson Werth home in 2016, when he was out by a mile.

They have history. Not like the Yankees. Not like the Dodgers. But they have it. And moments like June 15 and 16, 2005 are part of it, when we can say, “Remember when … ?” And it matters."

At their peak I would've taken Robinson in that fight.

   Ol FR was a trip.

One of the most entertaining games ever.  No, it WAS the most entertaining game ever.  Fat Donnelly and his stinkin' pine tar.     :lmao: :lmao:

Jose Guillen and his clutch homer.  Then getting inspected, boy was he hot.

Yeah, probably spent a few days visitin' family.    He's supposed to be back tonight.   Travelin' to the West Coast is hard on him.   Tomorrow will be his toughest broadcast.

Thank the Lord. Whoever that was sitting in for him the night I caught a couple innings was terrible.

The OGs of WNFF remember that series in '05.

Someone bump the thread!
