DiMaggio was a complete stud but he only eclipsed the 40 HR mark once in his career. Even with the advantages hitters have in today's game most of them fall woefully short of the yankee clipper (and he missed 3 years due to military service).

Nah, DiMaggio was a CA boy.         Look at a lot of the old HOFs.   Many served  ...  Williams, Mays, etc.    Imagine the numbers they could have put up.
