It's throwing it down up here in Petworth and the dog is all freaked out so I guess there's thunder somewhere.

 Chicken Trivia:
  • When it was first cooked and served, Fried chicken was a sign of wealth.
  • There are 26 people in the U.S. listed on whitepages.com with the last name "Chicken". None have the first name "Fried". (One is named Fred.)
  • The fear of chickens is called Alektorophobia.
  • Modern domesticated chickens are descendants of the red jungle fowl of India and Southeast.
  • More than half of all chicken entrees ordered in restaurants are for fried chicken.
  • KFC was first known as "Sanders Court and Buffet".
  • Chickens were originally domesticated and bred for cockfighting, not for food.
  • Waste made by a chicken in its lifetime can make enough electricity to run a 100 watt bulb for five hours!

I don't remember that.   Where was it?

4792 Lee Hwy in Arlington.

Still there, and shabbily un-chic.

Ah OK, up by Alpine and McDonalds.    Used to take my car to Craven Tire.

OT   The all news FM station in Arlington's tower (WAVA?) used to be around Lee and Mason.    Arlington Hospital was up on Mason.

Dodgers.  Chucking Crips into the Anacostia?
Sorry, guys... just checking in. Is this thing gonna happen or nah?

Also.... I'm coming up to DC for a few games this year. If you are at the ball park on the 15th or 16th of Sep. let's go grab a drink and do something stupid.

Alpine, I had forgotten about that place.  Longest damn menu I've ever seen in my life.

Ridiculous that they haven't called it yet.  There's no way they're gonna start this at 10:00

Maybe C.B. Bucknor is in charge of all weather-related postponement decisions now.

If you’re in Petworth and it’s within 5 days of the 4th, it’s fireworks

The Nationals should let anyone who is not there now attend for free, as they did on the Phillies game at RFK Stadium many years ago, late in the season, on Ryan Zimmerman's birthday.
