Here in Loudoun, dark skies and it keeps on raining. Makes me wonder if this game will get played tonight.
My end of Loudoun is the same. It got ugly but no rain ... yet.
What do you think gents? Should I lay awake browsing the internet for research purposes waiting for the rain to dissipate and the game to start or should I just call it quits and try to nod off now?im thinking about 45 minutes. Any chance in that time?
It'll be at least an hour before start.
Weather guy on channel 9 is thinking 8:30.
Topper Shutt knows his crap. It will be at exactly 8:30.
Topper is off though. It's the weekend guy Howard filling in. It's not a huge cell but it's moving so slowly.
He's generally pretty good too. No Topper though. Gonna say 8:45 now.
ESPN just did a live shot of Nats Park and it looks like the rain has let up a lot.
I wonder if Topper calls in during "iffy" weather. I bet he does. He's a weather nerd junkie.
I remember a few years back when he cut short a family vacation in Colorado to rush back to cover a winter storm. I believe I read somewhere that his license plates read WX GURU.
want this game to be played on 9/11. New York and Washington playing baseball on that date is a nice "F you" to terrorists everywhere.
