I'm not sure why Harper doesn't steal bases anymore.

I don't want him running that much and maybe hurting himself.

I want him scoring runs. Stealing occasionally helps.

The phones probably starting ringing like crazy at Lloyd's of London when he had that sliding catch

DeGrom with the hair looks like a lot of kids I played Little League with in the '70s.

Technically still had the lead when he completed the pitch.

We're going to see a lot of the pen today and especially tomorrow since it's a Roark start.

I played little league in Bangkok around that time.  The field had ponding water and poisonous snakes for half the year

We had one new field in Arlington where they apparently forgot to scrape out the construction gravel in the outfield. Every dive for a ball you came up with gravel entrenched in your elbows. It built character, though not as much as poisonous snakes.

Sounds like the field at Guy Mason on Wisconsin Ave.  Gravel and glass.

My home town had the Little League fields in an open area behind one of the steel mill departments.    I hate to think what was in those areas when the water ponded.    :)

Played softball on that one in my 20s and can vouch for that.

Ross got out of the 4th.  So that's already better than Roark will do tomorrow.

I used to pass by there on my way to Grog and Tankard from Good Guys.
