After Difo last night, I don't blame him.

No stop at JP's?
I used to pass by there on my way to Grog and Tankard from Good Guys.

Catchers shouldn't be allowed mound visits during an AB.

I don't remember JP's.    I remember Clancys.

Agreed. They shouldn't be allowed there but maybe once an inning. Slows down the game.

Here's where I saw that picture:

Ghosts of DC: Tanks on Pennsylvania Avenue

The caption claims it’s 1947, but the discussion on Reddit seem to point to a time during World War II.

We're going to see a lot of the pen today and especially tomorrow since it's a Roark start.

Dusty should realign the rotation after the All Star game so that Strasburg no longer follows Scherzer. You typically use your rotation in order, to get more starts out of your best pitchers. But this is wearing out our poor bullpen. Putting Roark and even Gio between Scherzer and Strasburg may give the bullpen more rest.

Griffith Stadium, Washington Senators home before DC Stadium/RFK.

Were they gross?  I just looked it up, made in Baltimore.  Is that why it sucks?

It was an acquired taste.   Like Iron City or Rolling Rock.   Or, being to cheap to buy good beer.

That's Roy Sievers at bat...AL home run champ, 1957, and hero of every Washington kid. Superb hitter who was never voted to start an All-Star game.
