Other than Harper and Murphy, this is a starting lineup for the Syracuse Chiefs.

I guess we should just assume Zimmerman is hurt at this point?

What year is that photo  ...   '46?     The vehicles almost look Korea era.

Glad to see that Dusty put together a lineup of geeks for the July 4th game.

I think you're probably right about Korean era, so maybe '50/'51 or so.  It's an undated photo of unknown provenance.
Thanks

I tried googlin' the year and tried to find the insignia on the first vehicle.   I'm not familiar with either.    It'll give me something to do while Joe does the fireworks display.

Dusty conceded this game the moment those scrambled senile thoughts came together to dream up this lineup. What a dick.

If you blinked, you probably missed the bottom of the first inning.

Pretty sure those are WWII vintage M3 Stuart light tanks.

I know he wants to rest players but a lineup like this on a day like this seems to me like it's a big freak you to the fans.

With two off days in 46 games some rest is mos def needed for our olderly players. No good burning out the team during the marathon.

Wouldn't they have been used in Korea as well?    Thanks for the insight.    I'm not questioning your facts but now I'm obsessed with finding out  ...   :old:
