Your the reason why people from boston, new york, philly laugh at the dc fan base. You were probably one of those that just became a fan when they start winning.

yet somehow Washington leads the mets and phillies in attendance- maybe they learned how to be fair weather fans?

The bits and pieces I see of other games from highlight reels I notice a LOT of empty seats.

I think in general people just aren't going to games as much as they used to. I know I've only been to a few this year(just tougher with 3 young kids).

We're 11th in attendance, when you account for multiple teams in NY, LA and Chicago, that's about where you'd expect us to be based on market size (probably a little higher). The Chicago series came the first week that one of the largest school districts in the area was on vacation- I wonder how many extra people are at the beach

Half of those cities' markets is still greater than DC's.
