Rendon can be a pain in the ass. Kolko's just doing his job, Tony.

I was thinking something similar.    I wish I could remember the quote but it goes something like "the only thing worse than unbridled arrogance is phony (pretentious) humility".

What did he do?

Kolko just asked his typical inane questions and Tony gave intentionally stupid non-answers. Then said "I love you guys" on the way off the field.

He clearly doesn't like being interviewed. How about just declining.

Baseball season's underway
Well you better get ready for a brand new day
Hey, DC, what do you say
The Nats are gonna win today
They're singing
Go, Nats, go
Go, Nats, go
Hey, DC, what do you say
The  Nats are gonna win today
Go, Nats, go
Go, Nats, go
Hey, DC, what do you say
The Nats are gonna win today
They got the power, they got the speed
To be the best in the National League
Well this is the year and the Nats are real
So come on down to Nationals Park
We're singing now
Go, Nats, go
Go, Nats, go
Hey, DC, what do you say
The Nats are gonna win today
Go, Nats, go
Go, Nats, go
Hey, DC, what do you say
The Nats are gonna win today.
Baseball time is here again
You can catch it all on MASN
So stamp your feet and clap your hands
The Nats have got the greatest fans
Hear 'em singing now
Go, Nats, go
Go, Nats, go
Hey, DC, what do you say
The Nats are gonna win today!

Tossin' the fans under the bus.    Sounded like the same guy who asked the question the other day.    Anybody know who it is?

I'm afeered the Cubs have taken up the mantle of the Barves, i.e. Knights Templar of Unwritten Rules and gutless anti-American douche bags.

Late getting back tonight and just reading this thread. I agree with this post. Rizzo crucified his now-former teammate Montero. I'm not saying Montero is my favorite nephew or anything, but if the Cubs are suddenly so pristine why didn't they DFA that dirty first baseman who sidewinded the Padres catcher the other night. After that play Rizzo should not be heard for several years.

This is close

Early in life I had to choose between honest arrogance and hypocritical humility. I chose the former and have seen no reason to change.

He pooped on the manager on parade day; do you think anyone was going to stick up for him after that?

Eh. This whole bad teammate thing is kinda funny to me. It's a workplace. If I was getting blamed for something that was clearly someone else's fault at my job, I might speak up too. They obviously aren't going to get rid of Arrieta, but Montero wasn't wrong. And the stuff from last year, I read it as "I'm disappointed I didn't get to play more even though I played well in the second half."

Athletes can get so butt hurt sometimes.

I don't think you bring it up at the world series parade; probably they should have moved on from him before the season started.  Obviously Arrieta was at fault for the stolen bases but no reason to throw him under the bus to the media.  It's kind of fun to see them imploding while their genius manager seems unable to do anything.
