No such thing as a moral victory. I didn't see this one as I'm in California right now. This wasn't a great loss. One the Nats should/could have won. And I hate losing to the Cubs like this.

All I said about last night's loss was that it wasn't a soul crushing loss that some were saying it was. This one qualifies. Although I do like that they didn't lie down in the ninth.

Not me.  First it was the Red Sox, then the Cubs.  There's nobody left to whom I can say "at least we have a world series under our belts more recently than you do".

This is why W-L record for pitchers is meaningless. Gio did great and Grace crapped the bed. Why didn't Rusty let Romero start the 9th?
