...what percentage of the people in the stands will be Cubs supporters? (They used to bring pretty large groups back in the RFK days.)

If there is just 1 stoopid cubbie fan in the park, it will be too many...

:hysterical: when you consider that cubs fans are basically the same as bears and blackhawks fans.

Hopefully some of them show up in their Bulls Michael Jordan jerseys. That's always a nice touch.

Right? Have to admit though I actually enjoyed watching them win the World Series last year :couch:

Not me.  First it was the Red Sox, then the Cubs.  There's nobody left to whom I can say "at least we have a world series under our belts more recently than you do".

EVERY team brought large groups in the RFK days. RFK was Citizens Bank Park South and Turner Field North.

I always saw the Cubs as a nice team to watch a few times a year.     Enjoyed the day games at Wrigley and saw 'em a few times at Forbes Field.     They never seemed to have any impact on my cheering interests though.     Honestly, I never knew a Cubs' fan until recently.

Mindfact:     Billy Williams was the best clutch hitter against the Pirates that I can remember.

Cubs always had star players...Hubbs, Kessinger, Santo, Banks, Williams, the list goes on...they just couldn't win in September.  Reminds me of another more contemporary NL team...

I refer back to my comment about enjoying see 'em.    I knew they'd be dead meat late in the season.    Now, tell us.    Who's the more contemporary NL team?    :)      In my memory, it's not even close.     The Cubs really sucked during my younger years.

Yes they did...but they had some real star talent...and it was also one team per league back then...

OT     Anybody have any real interest in the college WS?      I just heard a promo and the first thing that crossed my mind was, "Who cares?"
