You can get HBO even without having cable TV now, for about $10 per month.
Friday, June 23 vs. Cincinnati Reds // 7:05 PM
Game of Thrones® T-shirt ● First 20,000 fans
Winter may have already arrived in Westeros, but at Nationals Park the summer officially kicks off with Game of Thrones® Night on June 23 when the Nationals face the Cincinnati Reds. The first 20,000 fans will pick up a Nationals-themed Game of Thrones® T-shirt and cheer on the Nats - plus they'll get a chance to visit an authentic Iron Throne right here at Nationals Park, courtesy of our friends at HBO.
The ballpark will hang 10 banners in areas throughout the field. The Iron Throne itself will be inside the Strike Zone in the Right Field Plaza for fans to take pictures with. The Throne weighs over 800 lbs.
To add to the fun, the scoreboard will display themed player headshots, videos, music and games. Fans are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite characters for a costume contest at the game.
A GOT-themed menu is also included and the Presidents will be dressed up during the game.
In prep for the event, the Nationals hid 10 prize-filled dragon eggs Tuesday morning throughout the DMV metro region. A Westeros-themed map of the locations will be posted throughout the Nationals social media channels. The eggs hidden contain Friday’s game T-shirt, two tickets to the game and a fast-pass to take a picture in the Iron Throne.
