Bob thought that was gone :hysterical:

Listening to C & D call a game as it comes is so much more enjoyable than Excitable Bob.    I'd like Charlie to take over the TV play by play.

Still think that Rendon doesn't deserve to be on the All-star Team, Mitlen?

It looks like the Nats fans in the house are on a day trip from a retirement home.

Ca someone explain to a dumb Brit how, when Trea was sliding into 2nd the other night, came off, and was tagged, he was given out, yet tonight when Rendon slid home, then slid way past the plate, that the catcher was given no time to tag him?

Props to Enny, Dusty did him wrong but he got the double play.

Once you touch home, you are safe...period...provided a third out is not made elsewhere before you touch it.

You can go past home. Once you touch the base it's over and you've scored the run.

because he touched the plate so its a run so the play is over.

over Arenado and Lamb?

If you go by WAR, yes.

http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=3b&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2017&month=0&season1=2017&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0

Rendon is slightly better at the plate than Arenado, Arenado is better in field than Rendon. Lamb is inferior to both in field. Lamb is having a slightly better year at the plate. Rendon has a higher wRC+, Lamb has a higher WOBA (if you pay attention to these stats. I realize many do not.)

Second is a base you can run to 3rd.    Home is the end of the line.

Look , I'm snarky tonite and I'm glad the Brit is following baseball but maybe a better explanation would be Cornwall at Yorktown and Jacksons Battle of New Orleans.

Bullpen is beyond dreadful, glad we are sticking to the tight budget, this will be another blown save.
Rough last couple of posts, huh?

i'm fine with mitlen's explanation, cheers.  Just a bit more current than something which happened 236 years ago.  (And it was Cornwallis, not Cornwall. The latter is a county, the former a general. Good try though, but a little more brushing up on your country's history would help).
