How are the guys that we got in return doing? A couple relievers, wonder when we'll see them in DC.

They're hurtin' us less than Espi would if he were still here.

Four and a wake up.

Note: Espi got the Nats Austin Adams and Kyle McGowin. Adams is pitching at Syracuse with what almost look like decent numbers (4 wins, 1 lose, 2.6 something ERA) until you look at WHIP (1.6 or 1.7). He's about 26, so he's not a prospect, but might visit the Nats...is on the 40-man.

McGowin is at Harrisburg last I looked, and he looked to be going nowhere.

It was addition by subtraction.  We weren't going to get anything of value for him.

Yeah.  Two lottery tickets is fine, even if neither turns out to be a winner.

Addition by subtraction follows a different function

  Insurance for Turner being hurt and the Espinosa testicle ornaments will say Rizzo worked his magic again by getting Espinosa back and retaining Adams.

Don't do it Mike. You've played a blinder today, don't ruin my opinion after that good work.

Having said that, if he can get plunked by a pitch every second at bat like last post season... No. No. It would be madness.

"While Espinosa provided above-average defense, his offensive shortcomings proved too great for the Angels to absorb."

Honestly, that's a damn shame.  Maybe it's just fond memories of his grand slam against the Mets as a September call-up, the only one I've seen at Nats Park, but I always liked Espinosa and hoped the best for him.  Hopefully he finds a home somewhere else and gets it together but right now it just looks like the kid can't hit.

I'm sad he won't be there when we play the Angels. Will miss those swings and misses.
