He got scant support from his teammates, Posey just watching and the infield slow to respond. Who was that that collided with Morse? Then it took four of them to get him off the field, and he throwing elbows and shoving Pence in the face the whole way off the field. Pence, who's on the DL with a hammy.
After my original post, I googled it. If it's for "cool kids", I'll just move on.
That was Samardzja that took out Morse. He was going straight for Bryce.
I don't need to Reddit. I watched it.
Something lost in this is how hard Bryce's butt is. That ball bounced halfway to third base...
I have no doubt in my mind that Harper meant to nail him with the batting helmet, and simply missed. However, I hope the intent doesn't factor in to the suspension that he eventually gets
Lol he can throw someone out at home from right but can't hit someone standing 10 feet in front of him??
A baseball is designed to be thrown. A helmet is not.
The same guy that played football for Notre Dame?
Wasn't he a wide receiver?
This whole melee got me thinking......who is the baddest Nat that I would not want to mess with. I'm thinking Bryce is the strongest but Roark is probably the most gung ho and ready to mix it up. Koda? Maybe Ramos last year?
Used to be Espinosa for me .... Now, I'm bettin' Koda's the scrapper. He was headin' for the heap yesterday. Often tell my son, you wanna mess with the badass and not the crazy ass. I think Koda walks the line. That's another reason I like him as the closer as well.
Espinosa seems less like he would throw haymakers that connect with nothing but air
For your viewing pleasure...http://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/19493045For the record that Braves-Padres brawl is still the best I've seen in any sport. http://www.sportingnews.com/mlb/news/braves-padres-fight-brawl-august-12-1984-pascual-perez-alan-wiggins/17ozuqr13fhut1v9j1fsnj47vz
I'm listening to MLB on xm this morning. They are focusing on posey and the shortstop not responding to harpers charge. Consensus is that they weren't happy with Strickland. ESPN guys are blaming Strickland as well. Loved Zimmerman's comment about being able to charge the mound if he strikes out twice.
