Plunking Harper on Memorial Day is the most un-American move since the Braves burned the American flag. Still shut out.

From the playoffs a few years ago, Hawpah owned Strickland and Strickland didn't like it then.
Exactly. Three years ago Bam-Bam hit two bombs off him in the playoffs. One into McCovey Cove and one into the third deck at Nats Park.

He didn't land a solid punch and Bryce should consider himself lucky. I he had, it probably breaks his hand

:lmao:  Why would your hand break if you land a solid punch? Strickland landed what amounted to a slap and Harper's counter was too loopy to land with any authority. Harper was close enough to where he could've stunned Strickland if his punch had been straight.

I'm inclined to believe he was throwing the helmet at Strickland and it slipped out of his hand.

He was definitely trying to throw his helmet at Strickland but it slipped. All in all, the fight was better than what we usually see in baseball. Harper elevated himself in my estimation with what he did today. You can't allow someone to throw at you like that without striking back (and there's no doubt in my mind Strickland did it on purpose).

Goodwin with a pretty solid chance to stay in the Bigs for the next week or so...

Goodwin ain't going nowhere so long as Heisey is ruptured. Question is, who comes up?

At least Royce didn't get suspended for home games...

Appeals take a while. Sometimes they drop them strategically.

Heisey's already on a rehab stint so he may be back sooner rather than later.

Hunter Strickland's day:

1) Exact revenge for sucking three years ago.
2) Spur brawl where teammates collide.
3) Fight other teammates.

I'm guessing Bochy wasn't real happy with Strickland.

He didn't exactly go overboard in defending him after the game, and indicated he had had a conversation with him about the incident.  If I were Pence I'd be pissed at Strickland for being such a prick after the fight was over.

If I were Pence, I'd be pissed about the suspension and fine I was gonna get for trying to pull some dumbass off of the field after said dumbass started a whole load of unnecessary bullcrap.

Fine by me. I'd like to see as much Lind in RF as Goodwin if Bryce gets suspended.
