Some of you are ridiculous. Stupid? You protect yourself there.

And Bryce took an open hand to the face first and then connected with a fist on the nose. You need to see it from another angle mitlen..

I switched back over to the national broadcast, they had better slow motion but I missed a chunk.  I thought I heard them say Strickland was bleeding.  Harper seemed to have some blood coming out of his nose, though a slight amount.

I'm not saying that Bryce won that contest. The pitcher is taller and on high ground, and Bryce, as good as he is at baseball, doesn't look like an experienced fighter.

The pitcher throws "an opened paw cuff" and Bryce pounds him on the bill of the cap.     :smh:

I thought Bryce landed a solid punch, thoughts?

He didn't land a solid punch and Bryce should consider himself lucky. I he had, it probably breaks his hand

I've seen better at 8th grade girls basketball games.
I thought the same. Was all open hand stuff. Probably for the best.

Just turned on in time to see the game. I mean fight. Looked like Strickland hit him intentionally. Did something happen earlier in the game? I understand Royce not wanting to get hit but it's dumb to chase the pitcher.

100% intentional.  nothing happened in the game - they have a history of bad blood

I think there's a long, multi-year beef.

I guess there's bad blood between the two over several years.

Over the 2 home runs Royce hit off of Strickland in the post-season...

Shrug. Maybe. I just think it's hard to throw a helmet at someone when you're all juiced up.

I mean, the guy was right in front of him, he threw it to the side of him it looked to me

From the playoffs a few years ago, Hawpah owned Strickland and Strickland didn't like it then.

Interestingly, they showed the Strickland/Harper confrontation in the middle of game on the Giants broadcast. Forgot how full on nuts Harp got during that. Hunter fanned the flames a bit, too, IIRC.

I wonder if they would have tossed Dickland if nothing else had happened. Seemed so obvious. And an odd time in a close game.

Well, Bryce pretty much made him his nag in 2014

The stupid move was really made by Strickland. Good grief, yeah, Harper has hit you hard, but that was 2 1/2 years ago. Glad the Nats turned it into an insurance run, especially with Ollie coming in.

Just dumb to throw at a guy three years later. Wasn't high but still can do damage.

Over the 2 home runs Royce hit off of Strickland last post-season...

2014. Not last year. They haven't faced each other since then.

Looks like a lot more than the bill of the cap. Also, if you get the bill of your cap jammed back into the bridge of your nose on the end of a flying fist, that can do a lot of damage.

I'm inclined to believe he was throwing the helmet at Strickland and it slipped out of his hand.
