It feels like we lose every home game that is hit or miss weather-wise.  It seems I always hope we get the game in, but we always lose.

Were the Senators around when the Pilots started ?
Yes the Pilots were only around for the 1969 season. The Senator's last winning season.

That could be the first time the Mariners ever won in DC ...  I wonder if the Senators beat the Pilots.

Check Jim Bouton's "Ball Four". All I remember is that Bouton joked about pitching coach Jim Turner's sage advice on pitching to Frank Howard: "Bust 'em inside". And Ken McMullen: "Bust 'em inside". And Mike Epstein: "Bust 'em inside".

They did but their season series with them were 5-7 some home wins some on the road. They swept us the first series meeting in Seattle.

G3-0.  "G-three-oh."  Kinda like former Expo and early Nat Tomo "Two-and" Ohka.

Braves and Mets both lost as well.   So this loss didn't hurt us too badly.

I was working through the game and GDT doesn't clear it up. Who gave up the three in the sixth? How long did Gio pitch?

If you want facts, look elsewhere my friend.     :poke:

Gio went out with an issue and Turner gave up the tater.

From the Post:     Cruz greeted reliever Jacob Turner with a go-ahead, three-run homer in the sixth inning, two batters after Servais’ departure. The Mariners stopped a five-game losing streak.
