The Boss, Joe Ross

Pitchers    IP   H   R   ER   BB   SO   HR   Pitch Count-Strikes
Joe Ross   8.0   5   1      1      0       6      0        101-68 & Done

When this game started, Seattle's first 4 batters were all batting over .300.  When Joe Ross left, #2, #3, and #4 had all dropped below .300.

I want everyone in the bullpen to be sitting down. Dusty is wearing them out.

Is it possible to wear out your starters AND bullpen at the same time?

That's easy when you are losing. The starter throws over 100 pitches in 5 innings or less. Then you run through the bullpen, since they can't get anyone out either. See Washington Natinals in 2009.

Please tell me Bob was being facetious when he said that the fans were applauding Ruiz.

Oh... you're probably right.

I thought right before the first pitch to Ruiz he said something like "and he's getting a nice standing ovation!".  But that would make zero sense, since he never played for us.

Bob said something along the lines of Ruiz on a visit to Philly got a standing ovation.    FP chimed in with, "Wonder why that would be?"

Last time we were there, a bunch of Philly fans applauded Werth. I guess they remembered that he helped them get to the playoffs.

Everyone who has left from that team and come back has been cheered.  Except Werth.  Probably because his leaving was the beginning of the end.  And he has always generally acted like a horses petute.

He was money in the postseason on 2008 and 2009.  Not the only guy but a big part of being in two world series.

I don't think most cared about that.  If it was true. I have read posts by people who followed the team on road games and he was always a dick with everyone or so they say. I say who cares. Judge them by what they do on the field. And can't blame a guy for wanting to get paid.

Of course not

Dude..how do you sport a name like WVUgold and not have a flying WV?

You're probably Nationaleers on another forum I read. In that case, GFYS.  :hysterical:

I'm actually wvugoldmember7 on bluegoldnews, but it's ok to like different things your name doesn't have to match your pic. I'm guessing you're not a native WV by the way you talk

Was the Mariners starter any relation to Jason " beachball" Bergman? Their relief pitcher Pagan looked real good.

Yes, and it was good of them to waste him last night...
