Well unfortunately I was around to witness the Adam Dunn years, so I'll  enjoy this time to the fullest especially since the general consensus is Bryce will leave us high and dry soon and we'll sink from there.

Maybe if the Nats were good back then, I wouldn't have had my Adam and Eve revelation....and maybe we don't have have a uncensored subforum

Ask Caps fans how they feel about watching Ovie and Backstrom night in and night out.
I'm a Capitals fan.

And? Do you feel satisfied with your President's Trophy?

No.

But I had another fun season watching the Caps win a lot of games and enjoyed the games I could catch at Verizon. Enjoyed having hope the postseason could go well.

Still disappointed by the end.

Hope is meaningless in the past

I had originally thought this thread was ridiculous, but after this weekend I'm starting to buy into it. Three bad losses and it's hard to care with such a large division lead. Our bullpen would be a concern if I wasn't so sure that it will be fixed next month. It's fun watching all these wins, and the Nats are still playing for home field, but the reality is that the next game that matters will be in October.

I'd rather the Rockies get HFA. I'd love to play in Coors in the NLCS if we get that far. We'd blast those fools for 10 runs a game.

They would score 12 on this bullpen

Not relevant for October.

Nats turning it into a race. Should erase the apathy.

If the Mets get it to three games, maybe I'll care.

even with this slide, they're still up by 8.5. This is exactly why I tune out for this part of the season, a horrible stretch does nothing and a great stretch would land them exactly where they are now

Only reason I'm gonna tune in at this point is to see Max pitch or see who in the pen implodes.

They want to go back to when the team was out of the race by May. Less stress.

I do, but it's based on matchups now. I could care less about Roark pitching when Kershaw is pitching somewhere else. I wanna watch Paul Goldshmidt. Or Betances. Or Houston.

I simply have no more emotional investment in the Nationals right now. I expect them to win the division and get to the playoffs. In fact, if they don't, then everyone should be fired and/or traded. This has become the Caps regular season or the NBA season as a whole.

You simply can't top the drama this bullpen provides.

I do, and I listen to a lot of games, but if I have to choose between random game in June with the race already over or taking my kids to the pool or bike riding or just playing in the back yard baseball is going to lose. As far as late games go, I go to bed early now so that I can exercise in the morning

Can they fix the pen? Will FP come up with more excuses for poor play? Will Dusty choke on that toothpick? Stay tuned for As the Nats Turn.

I can't believe you would put your kids and health above mid season baseball. 😉

I wanted to watch part of the NBA Final   ....   I had to watch the bullpen.    What would they do next   !?!
