Mets lose again.  Load up at the deadline with ever conceivable reliever in baseball.  No particular rush.
Hot damn.

We could probably play at just over a .400 clip the rest of the season and still make the playoffs!

Turner was signed as a free agent. Originially drafted by the Tigers, he was considered a top prospect when he was dealt to the Marlins for Annibal Sanchez. He was DFA'd the next year. Picked up by the Cubs and White Sox, where he struggled. Released by the Sox after the 2016 season, and signed by the Nats.

He was signed to a minor league free agent deal. Apparently that's the reason he can't be sent down. He'd have to clear waivers. Which he definitely would not given how he has pitched this year.
People get on Rizzo, but Turner and Albers were great finds.

That's funny.  Same pitch was a ball last inning.

This is going to sound mean, but his official photo looks like the result you get from one of those apps where you put in two people's photos to see what their "lovechild" might look like.

Considerin' I ain't got any apps, who do you think the two people are?

What was your question?

Who's our next starter for $500?

I don't like a team that starts Kuhl and Cole back to back.
