I was there for the Daniel Murphy BH game. It was absurd. We arrived right as the last ones were being handed out. Some huge guy pushed his way through a crowd and reached right over a kid standing in line with his dad and grabbed one of the last ones. The dad started yelling at the guy who just turned away laughing.
Luckily, some other lady gave the kid hers. My kid was able to get one. I didn't even bother. The Nats could make it work a lot better. It's getting a bit too crazy for these things.
I'm with you. Make it work better. I get them for my kids, too! I don't go "just for the bh's" as I enjoy the games. In fact, I wasn't planning to get the TT BH until the rain out, as I couldn't go to the game Friday, and I figured I could scoop up a cheap seat on Stubhub for the make-up game (I did). Since my son was with his mom for mother's day, I viewed the outing as a nice night out by myself, pick up a BH for the boy, have dinner and a beer at the park (brat and goose IPA). So really, did I care if I personally got the BH? Not really, but knowing other people pick them up for their kids, or even for themselves, makes me frustrated when I see the cheaters and the animals misbehaving (like the guy you described). Yeah, people should act better, but the Nats need to make this process work better.
I'm still peeved I didn't get the Harper BH last year, and then saw all the cheaters carrying around 4, 5 and 6 BHs. It was the exact same scenario as last Sunday.
