has anyone seen Welch?  Is he OK?  I know he always catches Nats games at Citifield.  I can't think of anyone who hates Ks more than Welch, so I fear for his health and sanity today.

Any pictures of a guy in a Nats hat throwing things and shouting about the 1958 Senators?

Welchie, I'm thinking of you!  End the Ks! For your sake, let's hope DeGrom is out of the game soon (in a benign way, of course, maybe just busted for a marijuana positive).

I'm watching SNY. It is a miserable day for baseball: low '50s, steady rain since about midnight. Should have cancelled this game. Probably tomorrow also.

In other news, on this day in 1924, Yankees beat the Nats 6 - 3 at Griffith Stadium, day game, crowd of 2,500 had plenty of room to stretch. Yankees got 14 hits off Paul Zinhiser (sp?) and Slim McGrew and somebody else. Zinhiser was finished in the second. According to the box score, the Nats started Showboat Fisher in RF, Goose Goslin in LF, and Doc Prothro at 3B. Nobody on either team had a first name of Tyler or Taylor.
