Game note: Dusty had planned all along to start Difo at SS tonight to give Drew a night off but Drew is starting at 3B in place of the struggling Anthony Rendon

I never in a million years thought I'd be happier seeing Drew in the lineup over Anthony, but there it is

I was pissed when I first saw that Drew wasn't at SS before I realized we were giving Rendon a day off.

Huh, that's odd because in a postgame comment, one of the WaPo reporters (Chelsea maybe) tweeted that Dusty was planning to give Drew the day off today to avoid over-using him. But he does hit Lynn better than Rendon does, so maybe that's it, or maybe Tony just needs a break.

I'm not at home so can't rewind. I'd swear on that replay ESPN showed Fowler was about 10 feet off 2nd when Zimmerman caught then dropped the ball. I didn't think Fowler went back before going to 3rd. After the appeal ESPN didn't show it again.

I also thought I saw a safe signal given on the popup.
