Things better than off days - 2017

In my younger days there was a full schedule on Thursday.  But that was so long ago, that honestly, I can't remember the last time they played on Thursday.  I have no problem with giving the players a full four days off in the middle of the season. And it isn't really even four days. Some teams (don't know how many) practice on Thursday.  Teams with away games Friday have to travel on Thursday.  Seriously I am as much a baseball addict as anyone here, but I really haven't had a problem filling the time these past few nights (and I didn't even watch any of the derby or game).

Wasn't a full schedule, but the last time there were games on Thursday was 2011. There were 7 games on that day.

This was the 5h or 6th year that MLB chose not to have games on Thursday after the ASG, a bad decision in my book. But ESPN needs the extra day to talk about their ESPY's. Does anyone here actually watch that crap?

At least the Capitals season opener is Thursday (Ottawa away), the day before our NLDS opener.

Tuesday and Wednesday though...thank goodness for my music collection.
