In Colorado he was in the high 80s but I saw 93-95 shown on the broadcast in his last start.  Isn't that his normal velo?  Maybe the cold weather in Colorado was the culprit?

He can only keep that up for a couple innings.

Our bullpen is terrible, the bench is barely league average, not very impressed with the Rizzo roster management. Seems like we had a chance at a dagger and putting this thing in our favor and we are letting the rest of the division back in it. This still looks like and 84 win team with the bullpen and no punch off bench. I have been wrong before, hope I am with this.

The bench is barely league average?

Drew, Lind, and Heisey might be the three best pinch hitters on earth.

Too bad Drew is injured and Heisey is still looking for his first hit as a pinch hitter this season. But I do agree that the bench is not the biggest problem. Not by a long shot.

Drew took batting practice and full workout with the team yesterday so that's a good sign. Few more days of BP/workouts and some days in Harrisburg or somewhere, if he stays on track.

Do you seriously think this is an 84-win team?

You are literally the only person on this planet that thinks this is an 84 win team.

Nope. I predicted that on the prediction thread at the seasons start as did someone else. The BP sucks and I called out in another thread who the culprits were. Ross is a questionable starter and after the past several games Roark maybe questionable too. I still like him and tho his stuff is average he is a competitor.

Roark's problem is not stuff, its command. usually he is on point for greater portions of the game. he is walking alot more than usual it seems and besides last night his curveball has not been good.

Roark is stud. He would be a #2 or even a #1 on half the teams in the league.

I cant believe how hard some guys in here are on our players.

I can't believe how some "experts" still act like him performing well is a surprise

I agree. his "stuff" is amazing not many pitchers can throw 4 pitches that well consistently.

How many games will the bullpen have to lose before they make a constructive addition ?

the bullpen is not great but of course its worse when your top 2 relievers are on the DL.

Looks like this team is coming back to earth from their heavenly trip in April. We have only two options, the bats heat up again or the bullpen gets straightened out. If neither happens we will be back in a battle with the resurgent Mets

Solis and Kelley are average at best. Face it this bullpen isn't good

Kelly's better than average. He's not elite, but he's a guy you want in the pen. I think Solis is too, though he didn't start out great this year, and perhaps the elbow issues were part of that. But saying the pen isn't good isn't an revolutionary statement, either.

I've been stumping for Herrera for a while now. Robertson feels inevitable, but I don't want to spend the farm for him, nor do I want him to close, but he could be valuable, he should have been a part of the Eaton deal.
