So looking at the forecast there is like very little chance this game gets finished.

Maybe Dusty won't make Ross go 137 pitches?

I think they will get today in. Tomorrow's game has been moved up to 12:05 to try to avoid the weather.

I have a tee time tomorrow.    I'm not optimistic.

I got an email that they have switched the starting time to 12:05.  Oddly, it was not under my email associated with my Nats Access account, but when i went to Nats access, I was able to exchange for a new game.

I head over to the course and it's closed because of the heavy rain.   They're gonna re-evaluate conditions at noon.    Looks like a MASN kind of day.    It's mistin' but not rainin'.     Nats/Mariners have a window of opportunity.

Can someone give those of us in park an update on when/if this game is going down?

weather.com currently still calling for 80% chance of thundershowers tomorrow (Wednesday), although these seem to be localising in the early afternoon and should let up by first pitch and through normal match time.

...Updating (with some typical weather.com walk-back on precip): 'scattered thunderstorms' with precip chances in the 50-65% range between 13.00 and 18.00 this afternoon, but no higher than 20% chance the rest of the afternoon/evening. Taking this at face value, there may be delays but they should get this one in.

Weather.com looks like DC around 5 PM.     Good news is what OC wrote   ....    could be scattered.

Took another look at weather.com - now revised to no higher than 35% chance of precip the rest of today. Today's game looks good to go.

Are we getting a game in tonite? It looks like lite rain throughout the afternoon and into the evening. Will the field be too wet ?

We're in the midst of one of those DC summer rainstorms. We may not get a game in until Saturday.

I think they'll play tomorrow night and possibly a double header on Saturday.

It doesn't look good. There's a good chance of another batch of heavy rain moving through this evening. Tomorrow looks like it will start to improve and the weekend should be fantastic, especially Sunday.

Hard to manage a double header when there's a 4:00 game already scheduled, without pushing that game to later or starting at 11:00.  If they do a double header this weekend, it'll be Sunday since there's no games Monday.

weather.com leans toward the negative as well: 60% chance of rain at first pitch declining over normal playing time to 30% at 22.00. Also predictions of 40-50% chance in the run-up to first pitch.

  • Take two of these 30 minutes before first pitch.

Oh, I bet they try and avoid a DH right before the ASB. You could make that game up in September or have a DH then, too, but if they do it now, I'd think Saturday is a better bet.
