If the bang it tonight, other than the ASB, the only other day that matches up on the schedule is the off day after the Nats get back from that San Fran/Oak/LA trip in a couple of weeks.

Another factor is that it's been raining pretty hard for a while at this point.  Getting the outfield and warning tracks ready is going to be a chore even with drainage, and it'd be very hard if it's still raining at game time.

That is true. I had an appointment this morning (Foggy Bottom neighbourhood) and it was pretty messy out with steady rain - and with it expected to rain/shower most of the rest of the day, it does not look promising.

Eh, they won't need that long of a window to get the field playable, the question is whether they'll get it or not. Infield is the bigger issue and they'll have that covered.

weather.com has now pared things back slightly to 40% chance of rain at first pitch, decreasing a bit to 35% and 30% over the course of the evening.

I hate the uncertainty of these days, only to be followed with the possibility of a 5 hour game in lousy weather with multiple rain delays.

So will they drag out the decision for tonight until after 7:05?

Sell as much beer and other concessions as possible before calling the game.

If Seth Smith pulled a groin tonight, would anyone really be that upset?

I'm a ticket holder for Trea Turner bobblehead night on Friday. It doesn't look that great for me.

I guess my "Boycott Baltimore" stance is working.     :)

At this writing, not really - 60% chance of rain at first pitch increasing to 85% as the evening progresses. The thing is, though, to keep checking because weather.com often trims back its forecasts after a while (as happened today - see earlier posts).

What do we think the chances are of this game actually going down? The prices in the Delta Club and PNC diamond club are dipping down where it might be worth it given the unlimited food and drink.

Buy. If it's rained out, you get to go to the makeup game.

The one god thing about that deal (depending on the price) is that you can take advantage of the food and drink tonight until the game is officially canceled and then, for the makeup day, take advantage of it again. :D

Are tickets purchased on StubHub definitely good for the make up game of a postponed game?  It was my understanding they will only refund your money, not let you use/exchange those ticket for the make up game.

They are only good for the makeup date, so if they schedule it at 11am on a Tuesday and you can't go, you're out of luck.

They do let you sell it though, don't they?  I know they have imposed restrictions on buying and then selling the same ticket, but I think they make an exception for this case.

His ERA is below 6.00.  Nats would have prevailed.
