They have great drainage if it isn't actually raining.  If rain stops by 3 or 4pm, I bet they start around 5 or 6 and get the game in.  I think they'll want to get it in today -- even though it's a divisional opponent early in the season, there aren't actually great opportunities for a make-up, other than doing a double header.  Both of the next times the Marlins will be here, we don't have an off day before or after the series.

That's a good point, but I'd still rather err on caution if there's any question. Baseball economics means they won't, but I'd still like them to. :)

WTOP was mentioning 2 PM for rain let up.

Looking at the radar, that sounds about right.

weather.com now largely backing that up - dropping to 35% chance of precip at that time and continuing more or less in that area for the following few hours; they're still sticking with it dropping to 0% chance from 20.00.

Sun came out for few minutes around 1:30 around Tysons before the sky got darker and opened up. Even got some hail and gusty wind. Now just a steady rain.

No word on Nats site as yet as to whether tonight's fixture is on or not. weather.com currently calling for 50% chance of rain at first pitch and continuing in much the same vein with 'showers' through normal match time; chances of precip declining from about 23.00 onward.

Another factor is that it's been raining pretty hard for a while at this point.  Getting the outfield and warning tracks ready is going to be a chore even with drainage, and it'd be very hard if it's still raining at game time.
