Then we should take off the year indicator and have thread continue over time

Gonna merge this with the other bullpen thread.

Blame Dusty if you choose, but this is on Rizzo, refusal to sign a closer led to other guys being placed in spots where they can not succeed. To the best of my knowledge Rizzo attempted to go after Chapman, Jansen, Holland and trade for Wade Davis. Completely inept, this team is 83-79. rinse and repeat, 2015 revisited. Might as well trade Harper, no chance of them resigning. Living in Kansas City area this reminds me of the Royals during their cheapest days of refusing to spend money on a quality bullpen.

Probably should expand that to say this is on the FO. Gotta have those dollars to chase those guys.

Kelley has appeared in 3 games and has given up 3 HR's. :icon_frown:

Isn't that avatar bad luck?  Didn't get much of a countdown last year.

I just didn't want to mention my thoughts about him taking over the dubious distinction that Max has held for the past two years. You scripted it much better. Thanks

So.....Albers has to stick now. Was fun watching the big guy pitch. Is he a 2 inning max guy or can he go longer?

The guy had an ERA over 6 last year. Let's hold off on saying he's gotta stick

Yeah, can't believe there are fans liking ANY of this bullpen mess. Forget concentrating on the closer role; I don't feel confident when Dusty goes to any of them. Tight game or blowout, they all get rocked (or can't get the ball over the plate).
