I hate to be elitist but why the hell would anyone one want to sit there?    To be seen?

Nah.    Free beer wouldn't get me into those seats.

I can see people falling asleep in those recliners and then being hit by foul balls.

Maybe Kolko can do interviews from there.

The guys in the row A seats behind the new dugout club aren't happy but they are missing what a great opportunity they have for book making. Take bets every inning on the number of hits, runs, errors, and crotch grabs.

Probably make some good money after the Lerners get their 10%.

Is there any concern of ties to gambling? These sports leagues usually get in a tizzy when anything related to gambling is mentioned...

Historically true, but with the NHL approving an expansion franchise for Vegas and an NFL club also moving there, this would appear to be changing.

And the Nats' ties to National Harbour go way back - look how long Bobby McKeys and some plush sports bar have been advertising at the ballpark and/or on the radio broadcasts.

Will these club seats include manicures/pedicures?

Now that I think about it why aren't all park seats mesh? I'm sure they can figure out a way to make it durable at a decent cost.

Wow, that's effed up.  Will be more effed up next season when the novelty of a new ballpark wears off and it's  70% empty.

Are mesh seats strong enough for very heavy fans who don't sit up/down gingerly ?

I would imagine debris stuck in the mesh would be tough to clean.

Any early reports on new things at the park? I was there for Opening Day but I tend to stay put on OD because of the crowds so I don't have much to say. I will be going Wed. night so I will have more than.

The E-cash system was down, at least when I was buying food and drinks in the first inning. Just heard on WTOP that they were having credit card issues too, plus the ATMs weren't working.

...but if there weren't ridiculous queues it wouldn't be a Nats home opener - I've seen queues that would put US airports to shame at every home opener I've been at. The queues are as essential to a Nats home opener as is the concessions constantly running out of stuff in early/middle innings.

Not only was WiFi not accessible, but Verizon 4G service was unreachable as well in my seats in the club. Verizon worked when I stepped into the club area, though.

And we saw a beer vendor in our section twice in nine innings.
