Already up 6.5. Every other division the gap is no bigger than like a game or two, except I think maybe the AL West.
Oooh, juicy! Since they won't say, we get to speculate. Missed curfew? Do they even have that? Showed up excessively hungover? Drunk seems unlikely. Or just was being a jerk and got into it with someone internally?
He's suspended for calling in sick when it isn't even his day.
I would trade it for a win. Only desperate fans think a World Series appearance is something awesome.
@jaseidler: Collins just refused to commit to Harvey taking his next turn. This might be the end.So .... If he's on the block, do you trade for him? I would. I'd take a shot.
Never. He's the most selfish player in baseball, and he's damaged goods.
Agree.
Nope
I would, but it's moot. They'd get him out of the division, and preferably the league.
Is there any actual evidence he's a super selfish player? I always looked at that as a NY media narrative. He just seems like a rich young dumbass who is in the wrong city to be a rich young dumbass.
Seems like some of his teammates aren't all that crazy about him:http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/mets/internal-frustration-with-matt-harvey-lingers-after-mets-personnel-performed-welfare-check-saturday-1.13584084
Whatever. It's NY. Everything is overwrought. I am sure he is the first player ever to stay out late and drink.
No skin off my nose, just pointing out it's not all a media creation if his teammates are jabbering away to reporters.
Only one guy quoted. And he didn't say much. It's hard to know how many guys are really frustrated with him the way the article is composed. I have seen anything like this since Werth bad mouthed Matt Williams to the press!
