Already up 6.5. Every other division the gap is no bigger than like a game or two, except I think maybe the AL West.

Hell, with the NL Central, the Cubs (currently in 1st) only have a 2-game lead over the Pirates who are currently in last!

Oooh, juicy!  Since they won't say, we get to speculate. Missed curfew?  Do they even have that?  Showed up excessively hungover?  Drunk seems unlikely. Or just was being a jerk and got into it with someone internally?

I would trade it for a win. Only desperate fans think a World Series appearance is something awesome.
It is and you don't have to be desperate to think so. But winning it is better. Selling out to win the WS is worth it, but it's an awfully big gamble to take on.

Wow. I don't want to see anyone complaining about the Nats being an unlucky franchise with the Mets falling apart the way they are right now.

@jaseidler: Collins just refused to commit to Harvey taking his next turn. This might be the end.

So .... If he's on the block, do you trade for him? I would. I'd take a shot.

Never.  He's the most selfish player in baseball, and he's damaged goods.

I would, but it's moot. They'd get him out of the division, and preferably the league.

In his current state, I'd prefer him to stay in the division.

Is there any actual evidence he's a super selfish player? I always looked at that as a NY media narrative. He just seems like a rich young dumbass who is in the wrong city to be a rich young dumbass.

I could see him being self centered in the same way Bryce is.

In the end he pitched all the way to the World Series; not sure what they complain about.

Seems like some of his teammates aren't all that crazy about him:

Whatever. It's NY. Everything is overwrought. I am sure he is the first player ever to stay out late and drink.

No skin off my nose, just pointing out it's not all a media creation if his teammates are jabbering away to reporters.

Yeah, if his teammates are blabbering to reporters about him, he must be a real piece of work in the clubhouse.  Given that and the inconsistent results recently interspersed with a history of arm injuries, you've got a no from me on trading for him.

Only one guy quoted. And he didn't say much. It's hard to know how many guys are really frustrated with him the way the article is composed.  I have seen anything like this since Werth bad mouthed Matt Williams to the press!

I don't really know what you mean but whatever, it didn't really work out so well for Williams.
