I don't think anyone questions whether or not he's good, it's whether or not he'll be pitching a full season and so far he's had more partial than full seasons (2012, 2015 or 2016 vs. 2013 and 2014)

he needs a stellar post-season under his belt to enter the upper echelon IMHO, but I do think we lose sight sometimes of just how good he's been.

I'd be okay with that as well. Cole or Fedde can be knocked around and cost us a few meaningless wins. Or, maybe they actually impress and build towards next season.
