Wow .... Kap's gf literally cost him a gig.

Tup. That's how you should run a business. Base hiring decisions on the girlfriend's tweets. They sent out Lewis to give them cover. I seriously doubt this is why they didn't sign him.
And for those who say he isn't good anymore. He was playing on the worst team in football and still completed over 60 percent of his passes in the second half of the season. In a world in which the value of a good quarterback is virtually infinite, this guy should by all rights have a job.

But I am not going to convince anyone. Everyone's mind is made up.

So if someone called me for a poll and asked why I am watching less NFL (I cancelled my Sunday Ticket this year), I would have told them it was because of anthem protests. Because that is the reason. But it's because I am unhappy that Kaep is getting blackballed. I wonder if that shows up in the polling. I don't think i am alone in my point of view.

Let's say he is getting blackballed (I believe that's part of it).    Where's the union solidarity?

You would not base hiring decisions partly on social media? Because most employers do now days.

The difference between Kap and Lewis/Stallworth is that Lewis and Stallworth asked for money commiserate with their ability and history. Kaepernick wants started money and his performance doesn't merit it on a quality team. So what sub par team is going to shell out all the money for him and deal with the distraction he causes?

How do you know what Kapernick is asking for? Or does assuming it's still high just got the narrative you prefer

On a girlfriend's social media? I have also heard zero reports on his asking price or even demands that he start.

I heard Harbaugh say he'd love to talk to Kap and see if he really wants to play football, but he couldn't because he was like, on safari somewhere, I think there's a feeling football isn't really all that for him anymore.

You seriously believe NFL owners decided all as one to never give this guy a job?

No I believe the Bills when they said they wanted an athletic quarterback and decide Joe Webb was their best option

i believe the Bills along with lots of other people just don't want him on their team, that's their right but I don't think for a minute there was a pow wow of owners who determined no one could ever hire him again.

Oh skippy, you ain't buyin' the owners don't collude.    I don't think their dumb enough to have a meeting but you can bet the word is out.    I'll even toss in that Kap wants more than he's worth but he's toxic to the NFL  ...

Do I think they had a meeting? No. But do I think they are trying to send a message, yes.

I have the impression Kapernick doesn't want to play football and just wants to be on a team to further his protests. His play the past couple of years shows he doesn't want to run the ball anymore. And that's what he had going for him. Owners know that. There are plenty of QBs just as bad as him to sign as fodder.

On tweets that involve senior executives?

Every report I've read is that he wants started money and time.

He played that way in the biggest gimmick offense since the run-n-shoot. Let's not forget that part. Kap put up numbers, which weren't as good as the ones Nick Foles did, in Chip Kelly's high school offense. Foles has done squat outside of that offense and so has Kap.

+1

Kap's girlfriend called the Ravens owner a slave owner, costing him a job, and Kap turned down $14 million to go on the free market for more and hasn't lowered his demands.

Bears release Cutler after 8 seasons

Quarterback Jay Cutler's polarizing eight-year tenure in Chicago officially ended Thursday when he was released by the Bears.

Thank you, Jesus...

You mean the guy Little Danny Snyder and his puppet Cerrato tried so hard to get a few years ago????? Little Danny has a great eye for quarterback talent you know. Jeff George he got; Mark Sanchez he wanted and Jason Campbell and Patrick Ramsey he personally scouted. But Kirk Cousins? Little Dan knows because of his keen evaluation skills that Kirk doesn't have it.
