I was going to make a snide comment about them at least waiting until the regular season but when I read the article they were such lowlifes that I was at a loss.

Edelman injures knee.  Walks to sideline then carted off.

time for Hogan to be a hero.  And Amendola to be a . . .  well, when I hear his name, I think of Luke Skywalker's mom, Princess Amendola.

yes, I like 'hogan'.  and, though he was still great, the more I think of it, 'edelman' goes all out all of the time, and there had to be a noticeable decline forthcoming soon...

Don't forget Brandin Cooks, he could be fun to watch this year :)

Cooks is already a starter, so I wasn't forgetting him so much as taking it as a given.  Not Givens.  he's retired.  I'm assuming they go with Cooks and maybe Mitchell at the wideouts, Amendola / Hogan in the slot, Gronk at TE, and a single back.  Maybe more 2 TE or 2 backs.

Daughter and grand-daughter were probably Ravens' fans.

Well deserved then

These national NFL shows are so pathetic. The morons on the NFL network's show were talking about the NFC east matchups for this weekend and the chick ended the segment by saying that the eagles have beaten the Redskins the last 5 times they have met. The guys around the table said "OOOOHHH, interesting"

:wtf:  Maybe my memory is questionable but I believe the Redskins have swept the eagles for the past 2 seasons.

Well, the Stars and Stripes flew yesterday (Labor Day) outside the house.    She'll wave again on November 11 (Veterans Day).     Until then, it's the Steelers flag on game days.   :)

That's why I find those shows laughable. They make myriads of mistakes in the crap they say. And people watch them to get their football information. :lmao:

And the same happens with other sports so called experts.

So what's going on with the groups that are protesting in cleveland? I heard something about them refusing to hold the flag or something to that effect.

Cops say that since the Browns allowed their players to kneel, they aren't holdin' the flag.

I think it is with so many players kneeling (a dozen or so) the groups are saying they aren't holding the flag on the field if it is going to be disrespected when it is displayed.

We should just not have a national anthem at every sporting event.

:smh: This crap has gotten entirely out of control. This isn't going to accomplish anything. All this does is give people on both sides of the "resistance" ammunition to dig in deeper and claim their position is right. The only thing that will happen is that they will get someone else to hold the flag (maybe some local kids). I don't know how you guys feel about this (and I respect anyone's view on it) but I don't get all the mandatory patriotic stuff that takes place before games. I don't even see why it's such a big issue to play the national anthem before a game. Just freaking kickoff/tip off/faceoff/throw the freaking first pitch and get the game going. I don't even like all the crap the NFL tries to push on their fans with the bands playing before the games.

Personally, I'm sick of leagues wrapping themselves in the flag- there is nothing patriotic about a Browns Ravens game- there is no national pride on the line, no eagle tears, just a bunch of large men trying to move a ball down the field

It's not just "patriotism".     Pick a cause, there's a color the NFL/NBA/MLB, etc. will wear.

I'm excited, but mostly because I think this is the last year the skins will have a serviceable qb before they spend the next decade trying to find another one
