Ezekiel Elliot suspended 6 games for domestic violence issues.

All penalties should be an even number of games.    Of the suspended games (in this case), three should be consecutive in season games and three should be consecutive playoff games regardless of when they occur.    All players/teams  ...  all penalties.      If a team cannot enforce the player's playoff suspension for any reason, that team is banned from the playoffs for 2 years and the consecutive in season suspension is doubled the following year.

My Rams just traded for Sammy Watkins, giving Goff something no Rams QB has had for quite some time - a legit #1 receiver.  Hopefully he can stay healthy.

Now they just need a QB.

John Feinstein weighs in on l'affaire Kaepernick, calling the NFL owners who won't sign him 'cowards': http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-nfl-cowards-who-arent-signing-colin-kaepernick/2017/08/10/eff49632-7d14-11e7-83c7-5bd5460f0d7e_story.html?hpid=hp_no-name_opinion-card-c%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.8c041e8559a3
Yea. The owners should be lining up to sign a QB who is no good anymore and who will generate lots of negative publicity.

I truly don’t get why folks hate the guy so much. I mean like really bewilders. I mean I would think most folks wouldn’t give a crap.

The protest during the anthem was one thing but when you wear a Castro tshirt it's kind of dumb. And then he backtracked saying he didn't support Castros oppressive acts. So why wear the tshirt then?  He's just a dumb jock who is being manipulated by his girl friend. I don't think he would have done what he has over the last year if he was still a starting QB. I don't hate the guy but I don't understand why anyone thinks an NFL owner would touch him.

I haven't completely given up on Goff yet.  The guy was put in an impossible situation to succeed last season.

Feinstein is so desperate to be relevant.

Kaepernick is meh and all reports are that he wants to be a starter.

Mike Glennon on the other hand is amazing, and Hoyer and Bortles are clearly better

Can't imagine why Ambassador Woody Johnson's*  team has not brought this guy in to play in NY.  Oh, maybe I can.

Quote
ATLANTA - The NAACP has called for a boycott of the NFL. The organization says the league treated free agent Colin Kaepernick unfairly for his headline grabbing protest during the national anthem.

The NAACP is asking Falcons fans everywhere to take a knee on the NFL. They say that means they don't want fans coming to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the season opener or even watching the team on television.

I was going to make a snide comment about them at least waiting until the regular season but when I read the article they were such lowlifes that I was at a loss.
