Posting this in the "food" thread rather than fishing or news.  Bottom line - there's a lot of problems with farmed salmon.  Go wild or think about going without. 

Farm released 100,000 fish near seattle, and they are spreading as far as Vancouver.  Problem is, Seattle, Vancouver, etc... are on the Pacific, and these salmon are Atlantic and can mess up the gene pool.  Also, these things are nasty with sea lice, like most farmed salmon.  Don't really want that to get into the wild stock.  Finally, for the NoKo point, apparently Walmart and Aldi market some salmon dinners with fish from NoKo farms.
