That was a pretty cromulent stage in the Massif du Jura.  I hope that stays on the route going forward, especially now that Puy de Dome seems to be permanently off the table.

the Peysourde/Peryragudes stage was pretty nice, and the Rodez finish was great.  The Jura stage was the one with where Thomas and Porte crashed out?

Amazing that Froome is leading more or less because of the time gained in the prologue. Just one more mechanical on Saturday, please. I also wonder how this tour would have gone for Valverde if he had not wiped out in Dussledorf.  I took Meintjes as my darkest horse going in, but I'm loving watching the Bardet / Barguil show.

Ty Magner won the Crystal Cup at the Air force classic this year.   He just won the first stage of the Tour of Utah, which is one of the two biggest stage races in the US.

I just replaced my chain - I've read leave the wax on and I've read dip it in solvent. I left it and didn't add extra lube- do I just leave it like that until the wax wears off? I feel like the wax just sucks in dirt

What chain did you buy that has wax on it?

might not be wax, KMC SL- probably packing grease?

Personally, I'd leave it on.  Why create extra work, you'll have plenty of that getting the road salt off soon enough.

Definitely not wax but grease. I still lube the chain up when I install it just to be safe. Trust me, it’s not going to hurt anything.

thanks. I can't believe how many single purpose tools I'm amassing (still cheaper to buy the tool and do it myself than have a shop do it, and it's something relaxing to do, but still absurd how many of these tools I'll only use every year or every couple of years)

I inherited a Park shop stand this year (shop cost: $1,200) and it's made life so much easier than the consumer level one I've had for years.  One thing you have to get if you're going to be doing your own maintenance is a good torque wrench, takes the overtightening paranoia out of the equation altogether.

The torque wrench is one of the first things that I bought. At least that's useful for more than just bikes - pedal wrenches, not so much
